I really struggled at school too and wasn't given much help but now (20 years after leaving school) I am training to be a teacher. I am really pleased to hear that the school you are at now is helping you to learn, and I'm very glad that you no longer think you are stupid. You sound like two very clever girls to me. Most teachers don't understand how to teach children with dyslexia, so it is wonderful that you have teachers who are expert at this, I have been doing lots of reading about dyslexia, and I have done some courses to teach me how to help children like you, so I hope that my teaching is getting better now. I will tell my other teacher friends to come and read your letter, and then maybe some more of them will try to learn how to change their teaching.
