[Chiltern Tutorial School] [Curriculum] [Science]

Science

In following the National Curriculum guidelines, we encourage our pupils to develop a knowledge and understanding of important scientific ideas, processes and skills which can be related to everyday experiences.
This is achieved by:

  • Using hands-on multi-sensory practical work
  • Using television programmes to stimulate classroom discussion
  • It is important that the child can enjoy the experience of Science and is not discouraged by having to write up their discoveries. These may be recorded using a variety of fun methods
  • Recording results through drawings, tape recorders, computers & worksheets and discussion
