History and Geography

History and Geography are taught through topics.
The learning is multi-sensory , active and based on experience, using the immediate natural physical and historical environment.

Every attempt is made to bring history and geography to life by taking starting points from the children's context. In this way it is hoped that history and geography will be viewed as exciting and interesting as well as fun.

If appropriate television and videos are used to support and enhance the topic work.

The children record their information and show their learning  in a variety of ways,

  • worksheets
  • art
  • craft
  • writing in their literacy lessons¬†
  • film
  • photography
  • drama
